The question came up after the last post, “Why are you wearing parkas on a beach?”
During our time in gorgeous Saint Lucia, the resort photographers hounded us to do a photo session. We watched the ’20 somethings’ pose gazing longingly into each others eyes as the water rolled over their tanned and taught bodies while the photographers snapped madly. The suggestion that Dave and I try the same pose resulted in a double and very loud eyeball roll from this pair.
Couldn’t it be a little more creative? A little more age appropriate? A little more fun?
So we pulled out our Canadian uniforms, or parts there of as I did not bring the antlers, and showed up on the beach in the blazing heat and humidity. You can imagine the heads popping up from surrounding lounge chairs.
“Have they been buying what the guy with the dreadlocks was selling down the beach?”
This trip was pre-blog so we can not even blame the behaviors on that. Apparently we have been a bit ‘out of the box’ for some time. The photos did make great Christmas card images.
Crowds gathered to see if an ambulance might be required for these two misfits who looked as though they had far too many refreshments and now verged on heatstroke. Good news we did not require medical intervention.
However if you would like to read about Dave dragging me off my beach chair to slog up a mountain in Saint Lucia you can go here. I survived, barely.
You see it is not always me with the crazy ideas. Just saying.
